Trump Wakes Up, Says He’ll Open Secret JFK Assassination Files, Taunts ‘Wacky Wilson’

Donald Trump is up early on Saturday and he’s got “wacky Wilson”, JFK, and probably Area 51 on his mind.

Just so the absurdity isn’t lost on you, remember how this Wilson story has developed.

On Monday, at a speech that was supposed to be about tax reform, Trump said Barack Obama and other former Presidents didn’t call the families of fallen soldiers. That was in response to a question about why he hadn’t spoken about the Niger incident. Backed into a corner, he called the widow of one of the soldiers killed in Niger. According to both U.S. Rep. Frederica Wilson and a member of the solider’s family who was in the car, Trump screwed it up. Simultaneously, Trump was trying to support his egregious claim that Barack Obama never called families by bringing John Kelly’s dead son into things. On Thursday, the whole thing culminated in a John Kelly press conference where the General tried to kill two birds with one stone by confirming that Obama didn’t call him when Robert Kelly died, and then claiming that Frederica Wilson had herself disrespected two dead FBI agents in 2015, a charge she vehemently denied. Next, Trump branded the lawmaker “wacky Wilson” on Twitter and then, in the embarrassing final act, Sarah Huckabee Sanders told the media not to question Generals when confronted with evidence that Kelly had basically just made up his claims about Wilson out of thin air.

This is another one of those times where if you were on vacation this week and you came back on Saturday, you simply wouldn’t believe that everything I just described could possibly have happened, let alone over the course of just the last five days. But it did. And Trump isn’t done with it. “Here’s Johnny!'”….

Wilson

Now for one thing, I don’t even know why he bothers capitalizing the word “Congresswoman” or why he bothers mentioning her last name at all other than for the alliteration with “wacky.” Because once you’ve called someone “wacky”, the pretense to respect is gone, so why not just call her “that crazy black woman?” I mean think about it this way: when Rex Tillerson called Trump a “fucking moron” he didn’t say “President fucking moron,” or “Mr. Trump the moron,” he just said “fucking moron.”

But beyond that, she is not “killing the Democratic” party precisely because until Trump inadvertently made her a star, no one knew who she was, so even if you assume that what she said was wrong (which, again, would be a bad thing to assume since she was in fact proven right on all accounts), literally nothing she could do and no amount of coverage would make a damn bit of difference for the Democratic party.

The ultimately irony though, is in Donald Trump, the President, waking up on Saturday morning and implicitly making fun of other people for giving Wilson attention in a tweet that just got blasted out to 40 million people. So you know, if Trump is looking for people to blame when it comes to giving “wacky Wilson” too much coverage, maybe he should look at the guy in the mirror….

But wait! There’s more!

He also said this:

JFK

Here’s the context on that from Politico:

Trump administration and other government officials say privately that President Donald Trump is almost certain to block the release of information from some of the thousands of classified files related to the November 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy that are scheduled to be made public in less than a week by the National Archives.

Administration officials would not identify what specific information related to Kennedy’s murder might be kept secret on Trump’s orders, though they acknowledged concern over classified documents held at the Archives that were created decades after the assassination–specifically, in the 1990s.

The officials held out a slim possibility that the always-unpredictable Trump could decide at the last minute to release all the remaining JFK files held at the Archives–tens, if not hundreds of thousands, of pages of long-secret documents–but said it was highly unlikely, especially because of concern that documents from the 1990s might expose relatively recent American intelligence and law-enforcement operations. Some of those documents could be partially released, with some of the information blacked out, they said.

[…]

Almost 54 years after Kennedy’s murder in Dallas, a White House decision to block the release of any of the documents will outrage historians, other researchers and the nation’s army of conspiracy theorists–who have been waiting for years for the release of the last of the assassination files. A bipartisan group of lawmakers on Capitol Hill has joined together in recent months to call for full disclosure of the JFK files.

In an interview this week, Rep. Walter Jones, a North Carolina Republican who has led the effort, said he has yet to receive word from the White House on its plans for the documents. But he said he is working with Trump’s friend and adviser Roger Stone, the controversial Republican consultant who had recently become entangled in congressional investigations of possible collusion between Russia and the 2016 Trump campaign, to pressure the president to agree to a full release.

Stone, author of a book alleging that President Lyndon B. Johnson was the mastermind of JFK’s assassination, has said that he had been told authoritatively that CIA Director Mike Pompeo is urging Trump to block the declassification of some of the agency’s files.

Jones said Stone “tells me he talks to the president regularly–and I think Roger Stone has real influence.” In an interview Thursday with radio talk show host–and ever-outraged conspiracy theorist–Alex Jones, Stone said that he had talked to Trump by phone Wednesday to urge the president to release all of the JFK documents. “He did not tip off his current decision,” Stone said. But Trump was “all ears,” he said, and “I am optimistic the president is going to do the right thing.” Stone said he was hopeful that Trump would decide to declassify the full library of documents “based on his general comments and on his long history of supporting transparency.”

I know. Alex Jones, Roger Stone, secret JFK files, and Donald Trump. What can you say other than that conspiracy theory bloggers are about to have a busy couple of weeks.

Speaking of conspiracy theories, if we are living in the Matrix, someone tell the machines to wake us up, because we’d all rather resign ourselves to a fate of being harvested for our energy than sit through another day of this batshit crazy thing we’re calling reality.

  1. If his greedy corrupt buddies, the GOP’rs don’t enact the 25th, they need to go out the door with him. It is very obvious the man is a lunatic.

At this point, slamming a cell door on him would almost be too cruel. He probably deserves to spend his last day on earth in a prison but in this country we don’t put people in prison who really belong in an asylum.

      1. Let me be perfectly clear — there would need to be a conviction of a crime that would result in confinement. Many cases of criminal conviction do not actually place a person behind bars; some result in probated sentences.

People are not sentenced to prison simply based on insanity.

  2. This is great!! We get to relive the Kennedy assassination..just watch the conspiracy half wits crawl out of the woodwork. Trump is the talk show hosts gift from God.

Also..I believe Tillerson should have said “Mr. President..the fucking moron….” It absolutely clarifies which moron he’s talking about…my guess is there are probably several thousand elected officials that might fill that bill. We should never..ever..lose sight of a simple fact..every President, including Barrack Obama, talked shit about and insulted all kinds of people behind closed doors. Those illustrious people had filters operating that closed the door before all of it came out publicly. Trump could, and probably will, lie at the drop of a hat for the remainder of his pathetic life..and he will still come in a distant second to the most murderous, disgusting politician of our age..HillaryClintn.

    1. saying that history is going to remember Hillary Clinton more unfavorably than Trump is like saying that someday, people are going to think Rufio was worse than Captain Hook
