  1. Your first sentence says it all. In a decade we will still be talking about the KSA/Iran rivalry in the ME, and the flashpoints where their sphere of influence overlaps. This is a bigger fish than the US , Russia or China can handle. Doubt it POTUS will ever be able to assimilate and understand the facts of the matter, as it seems beyond his comprehension abilities.
