Donald Trump on Friday evening said trade talks with China are still on for next month, but the next round of tariffs will go ahead as scheduled on Sunday. Trade groups pleaded with the administration this week to cancel the planned duties, but to no avail, apparently. T”hat publicly complain about the tariffs hurting their businesses are “weak” and are using the trade war as an “excuse” for poor management.” Clearly Trump missed the complete irony of people complaining and using excuses. Just insert “interest rate” for tariffs and “trade war” for fed and he would be spot on in providing an accurate description of himself.
