Sarah Huckabee Sanders: The White House May Be In ‘Chaos’, But America Loves It

Listen, you might be inclined to call what’s going on with the Trump administration “chaotic.”

And you’d be forgiven for that characterization. After all, Hope Hicks is gone, McMaster is said to be leaving (although that’s now being denied), John Kelly said “God is punishing” him by making him be Chief of Staff, Donald Trump has started a trade war that’s weighing heavily on stocks at the worst possible time, Wilbur Ross is talking about building gas stations on the moon, Ben Carson is buying $165,000 worth of lounge chairs with taxpayer money, Jared Kushner is being investigated for damn near everything, Jeff Sessions is under fire for not investigating Trump’s political rivals and reportedly has been dubbed “Mr. Magoo” by the President, and Robert Mueller is having a hard time trying to figure out if there’s anything Trump isn’t guilty of.

So yeah, that’s pretty chaotic, wouldn’t you say? In fact, I’d go out on a limb and say it’s batshit crazy, although the Trump administration is one of those rare cases where “batshit crazy” is actually a relative term when it’s being used to compare recent events with what’s happened over the past year.

But here’s the thing. Sarah Huckabee Sanders needs you to understand that you’ll not only take this chaos in stride, you will in fact like it.

Here’s what she told state TV on Friday:

Got that? “If this is chaos, then the American people are glad for it,” and the reason America is so happy about the fact that the White House is a raging dumpster fire is (partly) because i) nobody has heard from Bakr al-Baghdadi in a while, and ii) Trump is “remaking what the judiciary looks like” which is a euphemism for “eliminating separation of powers.”

So yeah, “this is chaos” and according to Sarah Huckabee Sanders, you can’t get enough of it.

Now hold your nose, close your eyes, and swallow this big ol’ heapin’ pile of presidential chaos.

  1. Actually I am kind of enjoying the spectacle of Trump’s descent into madness as he watches his world crumble before him due to stupidity, corruption and hubris. Hopefully America will emerge from this train wreck a little bit wiser.

    1. Gleefully watching a train wreck happen is a problem when you’re also on the train.

Last I checked, Trump’s damage wasn’t limited solely to within his own borders.
