  1. Awesome analogies. I respect and photograph coyotes. I have no photos of raccoons but I blew two away at point blank range when I was 12: they were attacking a retired police dog, in a swamp, surrounded by tall cattails, and I had a double barrel shotgun. I tanned their pelts. King wasn’t my dog: a retired fireman was “on shore” having a coronary worrying about him. I personally have nothing against them (yet). They run up a tree in our yard and do laps on our roof, only to shoot back down the tree and peel off through the unraked leaves. Thanks for your story: a worthy read.
