Listen, Donald Trump has a working theory on why sanctions aren’t working when it comes to North Korea.
He elaborated on that theory in a handjob session/interview with Lou Dobbs back in October. Here’s Trump explaining how Russia is “going in the other way and hurting what we’re getting”:

Got that? No? That’s ok, because nobody else understand what the fuck he was talking about either, but I guess we can all rest easy because as Trump puts it, he “thinks he knows exactly what he’s talking about.”
Well on Wednesday afternoon, Reuters is out with a brand new interview with the President (I don’t even know why these news outlets bother with this anymore – it’s almost like they’re just doing it to see if he’ll say anything crazy) and in it, Trump expounds on his Russia-China-North Korea sanctions theory.
“Russia is not helping us at all with North Korea,” Trump told Reuters, while seated in the Oval Office, where he has absolutely no business being. “What China is helping us with, Russia is denting.”
Apparently realizing that didn’t sound very, oh I don’t know, coherent, he clarified as follows:
In other words, Russia is making up for some of what China is doing.
Of course that doesn’t make any sense either because “making up for” has a positive connotation and what he’s trying to communicate is exactly the opposite, but I guess we have to just throw in the towel on hoping he’s going to come off as literate.
Trump’s probably talking Russian tankers giving fuel to the North and one can only assume that he’s heard other things from his national security team, some of which he likely absorbed through osmosis while daydreaming about all the pussy he’d be grabbing if he hadn’t accidentally won the election with the help of those same Russians.
After rambling a bit more, Trump concluded by telling Reuters what the “net result” is:
Unfortunately we don’t have much of a relationship with Russia, and in some cases it’s probable that what China takes back, Russia gives. So the net result is not as good as it could be.
Right.
Let’s just cue that Lou Dobbs clip again:

I clicked on the link to today’s Reuter’s interview, and was astonished at the inarticulate answers from the stable genius. If this interview goes, viral, even the Trump base will have serious doubts.
At this stage, any part of his base that has stuck around is incapable of having doubts. They are the ones that would be okay with the Donald walking out on 5th Ave and killing someone. Mueller is our only hope.
Hell yes, some of them would consider that act of murder as just keeping one of his campaign promises!
The base certainly would be okay with murder, as long as it wasn’t a white guy. If instead it was, let’s say, a loser homeless negro, or loser rapist Mexican, then the act would be viewed as patriotism.
Where have seen this type of thinking before?
