The New Yorker Takes Aim With Trump ‘Blowhard’ Cover

Earlier today, we brought you the latest covers from The Economist and TIME and suffice to say, they are not flattering for President Trump.

Trump’s crusade against the media (which he has called everything from “fake” to “dishonest” to “the enemy of the people”) is costing him dearly as his mistakes mount.

Rather than acquiesce to the fact that America’s free press is … well … free, Trump has continued to tilt at windmills – as though it still hasn’t occurred to him that he’s fighting a battle he simply cannot win.

Well, karma’s a bitch, Mr. President.

And this evening we got the latest cover from The New Yorker. Here it is:

Trump

And here’s some color (pun intended) from David Plunkert, the artist behind that image:

President Trump’s weak pushback to hate groups–as if he was trying not to alienate them as voters–compelled me to take up my pen.

A picture does a better job showing my thoughts than words do; it can have a light touch on a subject that’s extremely scary.

Duly noted.

Of course Plunkert’s cover also proves that a picture can have a pretty “heavy” touch as well.
