In terms of news flow on Tuesday, everything took a backseat to Facebook and the worsening Cambridge Analytica scandal, which is spiraling rapidly out of control.

Ok, so given that this is almost certainly going to be back on everyone’s radar next week (although again, it never left the radar, it just got lost in the FANG headlines), this is probably a good time to take a look at some updated scenarios.

Whether that’s a good or bad thing for society is an open question and largely depends on how regulatory action is justified and who it is that’s doing the regulating.

Make no mistake folks, this is populism exposed. And it’s not unique to the Trump administration. When you hear these messages from administration officials, from their ideological affiliates in Europe, and from all corners of the Right-wing peanut gallery whether on television or in cyberspace, ask yourself this: “are these people really who they say they are and do they really represent my interests?”
