Although the partisan divide is predictably stark, the poll is the latest bit of evidence to suggest that popular support for removing the president from office is growing. 1. I can see Trump’s advisors telling him the good news that Ipsos literally only found 450 or so Americans in the country that support impeaching him.

  2. Ukraine? Russia? Just believe that people think he is completely off his rocker. Drag everything into this impeachment process, i.e., taxes, Russia, corruption, let it see the light of day, and drive this lunatic insane.

  3. I see it as simply much more concrete. It’s hard to explain to people why the Mueller report matters since most of the time the people he ordered to do stuff said “are you insane? no.” so while Trump wanted to be corrupt he was executing corruption adeptly. Now though it’s clear he’s burned through all the “adults” in the room and people are just doing the corrupt stuff he orders without question. So anyone who was on the fence now understands that “wait and see” is no longer viable. The remaining people either think it best to just wait for the election or will simply support him through literally any scandal.

  4. Re: “Trump’s call with Ukraine’s Volodymyr Zelensky to be a more serious issue than the Mueller report”

I think the beauty here, is that trump became more brazen and was more un-checked, as-if playing out his YUGE gangster role and believing he could get away with murder, exciting his zealots and obviously MAGA. The Mueller circus laid out the basic groundwork, to remind most sane people that trump has always been on the edge of criminal-like actions — and this whistle blower event turned structural weakness into an avalanche. The stable genius overplayed his weak hand and now in desperation, that weakness will expose more and more weakness and instability, resulting in a biggly super nova.
