  1. Trump says / does something outrageous. Trump denies it. Trump admits it. Lindsay Graham is all for it.
    Trump denies it again, calling it fake noos. Republicans tepidly and conditionally condemn it. Kellyanne Conway leans into it, comparing it to some unrelated thing a Clinton or Obama did. Poll numbers come back saying Republican primary voters adore the outrageous thing, Democrats are outraged, and Independents confused about the football offseason and new MCU timelines. Cabinet officials and White House spokespeople issue contradictory statements. Media get confused. SNL and Daily Show pounce. Trump doubles down. Republicans make the outrageous thing a Party platform. Establishment normalizes thing, then forgets. Rinse, repeat. It will be called the Kavanaugh Cycle.
