U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May is accustomed to having bad weeks.
The Brexit negotiations have been nothing short of a nightmare for any number of reasons, not the least of which is that nobody knows exactly what "Brexit" means.
It's not even clear what part of speech "Brexit" is. Is it a noun? If so, is it a proper noun, or is it just capitalized by default because the first two letters denote the name of a country? Or maybe it's a verb. If that's the case, how does one "Brexit"?

Oh, so if ‘Brexit’ is just a meaningless concept bereft of practical substance, then I guess leaving NAFTA, NATO, the TPP, the WTO, the UN, the IMF, etc. must also be meaningless concepts bereft of practical substance. All of us – even Imperial America – are stuck for ever in these neoliberal globalist gangs created by the elites to help do away with those bothersome nuisances formerly known as sovereign states. The Brits who voted for Brexit didn’t do it to improve their GDP numbers. Primarily they sought autonomy from a bureaucratic system which entangled them with other nations’ dubious laws, restrictions, and finances. Loosing some trade advantages with the EU nations was a reasonable price to pay for their independence. Not everything can be measured with an economic yardstick.
The majority of Brits had no idea what the cost of Brexit could be or how it would affect them.
