Trump On North Korea: ‘Sorry, But Only One Thing Will Work!’

Ok, well you knew this was coming.

Donald Trump can’t go a single weekend without threatening to nuke North Korea and this weekend is no exception.

You’ll recall that on Friday, Russian lawmaker Anton Morozov told RIA Novosti the following about a supposedly imminent missile launch from the Kim regime: “They are preparing to launch a new high range missile. They even gave us calculations, showing that the missile was capable of reaching the western coast of the US.”

Morozov was part of a Russian delegation making an “official” visit to Pyongyang this week.

That undoubtedly rubbed Trump the wrong way and it came just 14 hours (give or take) after he said this:

Trump has since refused to clarify that cryptic message (probably because he doesn’t know what it meant anymore than anyone else does), but because he’s the President, we have to take him seriously.

Well just moments ago, Trump tweeted this:

Trump

There you go. There’s the President of the United States essentially threatening to start a nuclear war on social media again.

You’re reminded that this is three straight weekends of this. Last weekend he told “Rex” there was no point in negotiating and the weekend before that he tweeted that North Korea “won’t be around much longer.”

Now he’s at it again. What exactly are we supposed to make of this: “Sorry, but only one thing will work!

Certainly sounds like a threat to launch a preemptive strike to me.

As a reminder, here are the estimates for fatalities and injuries in the event North Korea nukes Seoul and Tokyo (via Michael J. Zagurek Jr. for 38north.org):

  1. Since Trump didn’t clarify his cryptic message how does it follow that he “essentially” threatened nuclear war?? The entire point of a “cryptic” message is that it isn’t clarified..it’s left hanging in the air..That is precisely what Kimbo needs to live with..It may or may not move No. Korea in a constructive direction..but 30 years of phony pretend diplomacy, useless sanctions and turning a blind eye certainly didn’t work…

What will work? Offer China something they can’t refuse..dual control of the China Seas and a congenial No. Korea they can easily influence and will not turn on them once the US “threat” fades.
Gee…I wonder who that means eliminating???

  2. Let’s insist trump plop his lard ass in Tokyo or Seoul (he can draw straws for which place he goes) and see what he tweets then! YOU DO NOT HURT OR KILL one million to 15 million people to get rid of one little prick. And if you think that is ok, then he goes first. Actually, he goes also.

  3. You are wasting your time Murphy.

The same Republican party that gave us the Iran-Contra deal, that failed to stop 9.11, that brought us the phony and stupid WMD attack on and war against Iraq and failed to capture bin-Laden and in fact let him escape, is now seeking to drum up the first nuclear war earth has ever experienced! The only war they are good at is the War on Health Care, Jobs, the Middle Class and the Poor and Good Governance.

    1. Marty! I got a cold chill reading your opening sentence! For a minute it sounded just like assface talking to Tillerson! OH NO! hahaha! and I got nothing but time and not all that much left these days but I won’t quit!

Either the lazy lizards sitting in the GOP seats will pull their heads out of their asses and see they are destroying America or they will loose their seats. I got my monthly newsletters from Cruz and Cornyn and took the 15 minutes to respond to both of them — name, address, phone, email all happily filled in the appropriate blanks and then the message “I will never vote for you or any of your greedy criminal republicans for any office as long as you ignore the shame and crime and continue to allow trump to sit in the White House. You are dead to me.” They both have received pretty much the same message for at least six months.

I got my response from Cornyn yesterday: Thank you for contacting Senator John Cornyn’s office. If you need immediate assistance regarding an urgent or time sensitive matter you are personally experiencing with a federal agency, please call my Dallas office at (972) 239-1310. If you are seeking information or services from my offices that are NOT related to my Legislative duties, please visit my “For Texans” section for more information. Warmest Regards, Senator John Cornyn

Fuck them both. I will continue until my fingers bleed. You all can find websites for your states and click on Contacts and you will come across the fill in the blanks form and deliver your message. Who knows what will eventually cause their pause. In the meantime, it makes you feel better!!
And it damn sure beats doing nothing!! 🙂

      1. Regrets Murphy, by wasting your time I meant to say that figuratively looking to put Fat-Orange in harm’s way of anything as an object lesson to deter him is a waste of time. Why is it a waste of time? He’s been feeding off the ego rush of scaring the crap out of everyone on earth by taking them down this catastrophic road to extinction this fucking moron* is on. He literally lives from 140 twitter characters to the next and has zero concept of a next horizon in time nor can he feel, sense or understand how his behavior impacts on other human beings. He is an devoid of positive human emotions and filled with an abundance negative emotions that drive him to constantly cause untold injury. I have forever labeled him Mr. Destructo for in almost every aspect of his behavior there is a destructive element to be found. The black hat won the election and has brought evil with him to the White House and the Republican Party emboldens and enables him to act.
