Ok, so on Thursday and Friday, Donald Trump put the batshit back in batshit crazy.
When considered as a single body of work, the President’s two-day Twitter tirade certainly qualifies as one the most ridiculous spectacles ever created by someone who holds public office.
For anyone who missed it, here’s a quick recap:
And that came just days after a series of truly outrageous 140-character outbursts about the terror attacks in London and a few errant statements about Qatar that could very well have jeopardized a US military base. For a recap of those, see here:

Now look, I do realize that we’ve all grown accustomed to this and that because we expect it, some of the novelty has worn off.
But that’s exactly why you need to pinch yourself. Remember: this is the President of the United States. The leader of the free world tweeted all of what you see above in the space of less than 48 hours.
One way you can ensure that the sheer absurdity of this doesn’t get lost on you is to picture what these would look like if they were official press releases. For instance:

Well as it turns out, there’s a handy site that allows you to search all of Trump’s tweets for any keyword you want. You can visit it here and entertain yourself for hours.
But here’s a fun graphic that hits the “high” (or “low” depending on how you want to look at things) points…
As a reminder, at least one lawmaker is hell-bent on holding him accountable for this…
The real conclusion might be that Gundlach will soon be FED chair. Then the two most powerful players will be Twitter hacks. Think about it. Is this a sign of the times?
Putting it in the shape of fake news releases will only cement Trump’s support base. They like knowing that the president is as functionally illiterate as they are. It makes them feel less of a failure in life.
And as for Quigley’s law, presumably Trump’s tweets already are covered by existing legislation. If you can’t enforce the existing law, passing new ones won’t help.
But the old laws do not explicitly mock Trump, so you can still argue a positive benefit.
I think he is pretty spot on
