This Graphic Shows Every Time Trump Has Taken Credit For Jobs He Didn’t Create

Donald Trump likes to take credit for things he didn’t have anything to do with.

And indeed, the likes of Fox News (that bastion of reliability that recently brought on Fabio to weigh in on California politics) are happy to perpetuate the bullshit.

Recall, for instance, the following graphic which is so blatantly ridiculous that there for a while, I was convinced that Fox would delete the tweet:

I don’t even know why I’m explaining this, because if you don’t immediately see why that’s absurd then there’s no hope for you, but obviously it’s pointless to talk about the jobless rate for a President after their first three months in office. And it’s even sillier to slap the 9% figure on Obama given that he inherited the worst economic catastrophe since the Great Depression.

Just to reiterate: not even the most dishonest of alt-Right finance websites would ever post something that stupid. They’ll find plenty to criticize about Obama’s economy, but they damn sure wouldn’t blame him for high unemployment at the start of his tenure.

Well anyway, I found a hilarious graphic over the weekend that I saved for Monday morning in case there wasn’t much going on. Have a look at this from the New York Times which documents all the times Trump has taken credit for economic outcomes he had absolutely nothing to do with:
