Yevgeny Prigozhin Might’ve Slipped On A Banana Peel
Yevgeny Prigozhin might've died in a plane crash.
Whether the caterer-turned warlord-turned usurper was or wasn't on the Wagner-linked Embraer Legacy 600 which crashed north of Moscow killing all 10 people aboard on Wednesday is in some sense irrelevant. Prigozhin was a dead man walking as of June 24, when he and his motley crew of mercenaries came within 100 miles of Moscow (and within a few minutes of being incinerated by warplanes) in a botched attempt to overthrow Russia's military command.
“My father is no different than any powerful man, any man with power, like a president or senator.”
“Do you know how naive you sound? Presidents and senators don’t have men killed.”
“Oh. Who’s being naive?”
I know you’re just quoting but, just for clarification, b/c I’m with Kay – There’s a legal framework around presidents and senators killing people. They’re not (supposed to) doing for personal greed or personal revenge and power.
Can you get me off the hook, Vlad? For old time’s sake?
I just went back to my files – on June 24, retired Admiral Stavrides, asked about Prigozhin, said “I give him 60-90 days.” Pretty good call!
Good thing for the Jan 6 head MAGAmaniac that Joe isn’t like Vlad (though I sometimes wonder if he should’ve been).
