Mike Pence Made A Wild Claim About The US Jobs Market. It’s Propaganda.

"It’s unbelievable the twilight zone that we’re sort of living in, where people just say things and it gets repeated", Jeff Gundlach told CNBC's Scott Wapner during a May 2019 interview. "I think probably we’re numb to that because of social media". Yes, "probably" we are "numb to it". In fact, the public has become so detached from reality that voters are now willing to throw their support behind candidates espousing conspiracy theories that might very fairly be described as clinically d

  1. Yeah , Pence told a Whooper here and the post also implies that we did not get to where we are in ‘truth telling’…..by practicing the fine art…..
Generally speaking the progression on falsehoods is linear and proportionate to whether or not you get away with it…. This is like the kid that gets his hands in the cookie jar and is facilitated by lousy parents…… except in this case with politics/Financial matters we are playing for all the marbles and the power that goes with it……Need some solutions here because all does not bode well if everyone is anesthetized to the truth and reality on a steady basis and progressively in the quantity and magnitude….

  2. Quite some, probably.
Guess he’s scared s#^tless at the prospects of debating Kamala Harris, so this is probably an attempt to lay the groundwork.
There will probably be more outlandish propaganda in order to water down any substance that might be left.

  3. “Fast forward a year and the US labor market collapsed under the weight of lockdown measures aimed at stopping the spread of a deadly pathogen.

    That isn’t Trump’s fault. ”

This is not ENTIRELY Trump’s fault, but the magnitude of the collapse, the breadth, the slow recovery, the inequities–these are all Trump’s fault. The commander in chief is tasked with protecting Americans from external threats. Trump chose to ignore the best advice on the likely spread of SARS-CoV-2 given to him, repeatedly, starting in January. He chose to disregard the best advice of epidemiologists, and even from his own otherwise incompetent advisor Peter Navarro, as to the magnitude of the threat. His response, even after he chose to acknowledge the threat, was ineffective. His messaging has been contradictory at best, enabling the spread of rumors and false information, and hobbling the response of otherwise competent public officials. The result (so far) is 160,000 deaths, and the current economic situation. There is absolutely no question that the Trump administration’s policies and actions have exacerbated both the public health and economic impacts of the pandemic.

    1. Universal mask policy as late as July 1st and under 200,000 fatalities at election. Now looking at 295,000 by December 1st.
One more war the USA did not win.
“Universal mask policy is tyranny” and a female topless is jail time.

      1. There was a column in the Washington Post a couple of days ago titled ‘If you can punish a teenage girl for spaghetti straps, you can enforce a mask mandate.”

  4. Hey Mr Pence – time for a review of Proverbs 6:16 – 19
(be sure to tell your boss)

16 These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:

17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,

18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,

19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.
