  1. Based on his NewsHour appearances,t Mr. McAleenan always struck me as a decent human being thrust into an untenable position. Good on him for figuring it out sooner rather that later.

  2. I don’t feel the least bit sorry for him……he was responsible for carrying out some atrociously
    mean spirited actions at the border……and wholeheartedly defended those actions.

    The problem he had was that Miller and Trump made it clear that those policies were purposely mean spirited…..as they demonized asylum seekers and migrants.
