Flashback: Donald Trump Says Oprah Would ‘Always Be My First Choice For Vice President’

As absurd as this most assuredly is, it’s entirely possible that Donald Trump will lash out atĀ Oprah Winfrey sometime in the not-so-distant future and when he does, it will likely be on Twitter.

Last night, in her celebratedĀ Golden Globe awards speech that many have suggested was the opening salvo in what will eventually morph into a run for the presidency in 2020, Oprah said this:

Yes, “we all know” that the free press is under siege and “we all know” whose fault that is.

Fast forward 12 hours and two friends told CNN that Oprah is indeed considering a run at the White House, her efforts to downplay the “rumor” notwithstanding.

Well, we thought this might be a good time to head on over to the old Trump tweet time capsule and see what exactly the President has said about Oprah in the past. We were not disappointed.

While most of the @Oprah mentions from Trump over the years revolve around Lance Armstrong (you can look those up yourself), the non-Lance tweets were filled with nothing but effusive praise.

Here’s Trump taking a shot at Obama on the way to explaining how he “adores” Oprah:

Winning2

And here he is tweeting a “flashback” of the time she interviewed him:

But it gets better. Here’s Trump explaining to Larry King how Oprah would “always” be his first choice for VP:

Finally, here’s Trump explaining how Oprah “knows how to win”:

Winning

For his own sake, he better hope that last tweet isn’t true…
