Well, the market could have probably done without Donald Trump Jr. tweeting an incriminating e-mail chain.
As Bloomberg notes, everything is in free fall “amid headlines that Donald Trump Jr. was told in an email that Russia wanted to aid Trump campaign.”
Here’s the summary:
- Russia Wanted to Aid Trump Campaign, Trump Jr. Was Told in Email
- Donald Trump Jr., beset by criticism over meeting, releases string of email correspondence with Rob Goldstone, who set up meeting with Russian lawyer.
- In one, Trump Jr. was told by Goldstone there was “official documents and information that would incriminate Hillary and her dealings with Russia and would be very useful to your father”
- Also told in email it’s “part of Russia and its government’s support for Mr. Trump”
And here’s the rather disconcerting exchange:

That right there is responsible for what you see in the charts below:
Now that’s something.
The Vix is in (Trump Jr) is in trouble. No problem daddy will pardon his whole sleazy brood when the time comes.
