Sean Spicer Is Asked About Susan Rice, Hilarity Ensues

Now look, if there’s anyone you can trust when it comes to being a straight shooter it’s Sean Spicer. I mean seriously, folks.

This is a man who was born to be a White House press secretary. He speaks plainly (no doublespeak from this administration). He’s got a great temperament and never loses his cool no matter how tough the questions get. He deftly navigates troubled waters when he’s asked to explain things that are seemingly unexplainable. And above all, Spicer is a man that thoroughly enjoys his job….

said no one about Sean Spicer ever.

In fact, old Sean is so laughably bad at his job that we feel sorry for him. We’ve said that on any number of occasions. The poor guy has to get out there everyday and defend lies he didn’t tell and almost surely had no part in creating, and yet he’s tasked with perpetuating them in front of a press corps that’s out to kill him thanks entirely to a boss he almost surely secretly hates.

Well on Monday Spicer was asked to weigh in on Susan Rice and how, damn her to hell, she was interested in finding out which members of the Trump team were talking to Russians. Here’s the exchange:

Yes, once again, Spicer’s rhetorical skills on full display.

Now if you’re like us, you’ve read other folks’ attempts to portray Spicer’s response to the question posed by the reporter in the clip above as some kind of concise retort that strikes right at the heart of a conspicuous lack of interest on the part of the Left-wing media with regard to anything that seems to support the White House’s contention that the Trump transition team was improperly spied-upon by Barack Obama.

But when you read those bungled attempts, be sure to watch the actual clip and compare what Spicer actually said to the “transcript” other sites published. Here’s what Spicer really said:

…I will say that …. we have continued to say that…. there’s a… um… there’s a troubling direction that some of this is going in, but we’re gonna let this …um… review unghlnnn… go on… uh… before we jump to it … but… umm… I, I, I … I think that it is interesting … the level of… um… or the lack of interest that I’ve seen in these developments when it goes in one direction versus where I think it was going… where it… other… other amounts… amounts of interest that have come from this room.

Got that? Me neither.

Which is why it’s perhaps not surprising that everyone fell asleep…
