3 Hours: How Long It Took NY Times To Teach Donald Trump A Lesson On Thursday

One of these days, Donald Trump is going to learn to keep his mouth shut.

Today wasn’t that day.

Just 48 hours after the Wall Street Journal promised us that this isn’t a man who is capable of inflicting any real or lasting harm on our democracy, we got this from the President:

Of course that’s ironic because the courts have been anything but receptive to Trump’s overreach, so one can only imagine how embarrassing it would be if he tried to actually do what he threatened to do this morning.

But the best thing about that tweet is that just like Trump found out that lambasting federal judges isn’t a great way to curry favor with the courts, and just like he found out that calling Washington a “swamp” isn’t a great way to endear oneself to Capitol Hill, it took exactly three hours for him to learn what happens when you threaten (again) to silence the press…

  1. Seems as though Obama would have a very good defamation lawsuit against Trump. Obama is no longer a public figure and has been accused by big mouth of committing a felony? Let him prove it court or pay up! Should be worth at least a couple of millions.
