Earlier on Tuesday, I brought you some excerpts from Goldman's corporate "Beige Book." Essentially, the bank scours earnings transcripts for useful tidbits and common threads on the way to deriving a kind of compendium of corporate bullsh*t or, as the bank calls it, "anecdotal evidence of fundamental and thematic trends." So you can read that if you like or, if you want the Cliffs Notes version, I suppose you could just look at the following chart which sums it all up in one word: "optimistic"
