Frederick Douglass is kind of a big deal.
Maybe you’ve heard of him.
One person who apparently hasn’t is Donald Trump.
Here’s what the new President had to say about the exceedingly famous (and exceedingly dead) abolitionist who wrote perhaps the most well known memoir in American history:
Frederick Douglass is an example of somebody who’s done an amazing job and is getting recognized more and more, I notice.
Kind of seems like Trump thinks Frederick Douglass is still alive. "He's an example of somebody who has done an amazing job."
