Trump Reckons NFL Has Two Choices: End Free Speech Or ‘Go To Hell’

As the feud between Donald Trump and professional athletes continues to escalate (and I can’t even believe I just said that) some folks have been keen to point out a disparity between the way the President characterized white nationalists in Charlottesville and the picture he’s spent five straight days painting of NFL players who kneel during the national anthem to protest inequality.

Specifically, more than a few people are interested to know why white nationalists marching with Nazi flags and torches are “very fine people” and NFL stars taking a knee during the national anthem are “sons of b*$%&es.”

After all, there’s a pretty solid argument to be made that when it comes to “disrespecting” America, nothing is more egregious than waving the Confederate flag and/or the swastika because technically speaking, the former represents a “confederacy” of traitors while the latter quite literally is a symbol of the worst genocide committed in the entire history of mankind.

One reporter asked Trump about this seeming disparity on Wednesday.

You can watch the clip below which finds the President refusing to address the issue other than to very subtly suggest that ultimately, black athletes can either do what he says, or they can “go to hell”

  1. Paybacks?? Remember that once long ago little Donny wanted an NFL franchise. He bought a USFL franchise, sucked at building a football team (but excelled at bluster and grand pronouncements), then convinced the other owners to compete with NFL by moving to the Fall (from Spring, as USFL originally played).

They then sued the NFL on anti-trust grounds and sought to merge the leagues, but NFL succeeded in convincing a judge that Trump was just trying to buy into NFL on the cheap. He tried and failed several more times to buy an NFL franchise.

Oh, but the judge did award for the plaintiffs, but also ruled that the USFL was bankrupt on their own accord and granted them penalty of $1.

All that winning! It’s just hard to keep up with.

    1. ABSOLUTELY a payback! He would wait 50 years to get even for being “wronged” in his opinion. He is completely bat shit crazy. This man has no soul. He takes great pleasure in hurting people. To him, fighting is as normal as breathing.
