Dollars For ¢34 And How Trump Used Trans Ban To Distract From Manafort Raid

You might be asking yourself, “what was Donald Trump doing on July 26 while FBI agents were busy raiding the home of his former campaign chairman?

As it turns out, the answer is: banning transgender folks from the military.

Recall that earlier today, the Post reported that “federal agents appeared at Paul Manafort’s home without advance warning in the predawn hours of July 26, the day after he met voluntarily with the staff for the Senate Intelligence Committee.”

It would certainly appear that Trump attempted to hijack the news cycle just in case that story started showing up on “unfriendly” media outlets, because just hours after that raid, he delivered his infamous transgender ban:

Well, for whatever it’s worth, the President is now being sued by five active-duty service members for that.

But back to Manafort for a moment.

It seems likely that Paul is in a world of shit, and as regular readers know, you can actually profit from the demise of Trump and his associates over at Predictit.

As far as Manafort goes, you can bet on whether a federal criminal charge will be filed against him in the current calendar year.

So that’s the good news.

The bad news is, betting he’ll be formally charged will cost you 61% more now than it would have before the Post bombshell hit:

Manafort

Probably still a bargain…
