So last Friday, Predictit started letting folks bet on when Anthony Scaramucci’s role as WH communications director would end.
Apparently, the Ryan Lizza article in The New Yorker created the impression that “The Mooch” wouldn’t be long in his new role.
Those wanting to place bets had the following options to choose from in terms of predicting when Scaramucci would ultimately be fired or resign:
- Jul-Aug. 2017
- Dec. 2017
- Feb. 2018
- Mar. 2018
Ok, so late last week you could have bet on Jul-Aug. 2017 for just 14 cents.
Those bets were going for just 13 cents today.
And then…
Boom.
Who could have seen this coming?
One wonders if maybe Sean Spicer may have just bought himself some dollars for 14 cents.
