I could be wrong, but I don’t believe you interpreted the parts about God correctly. It seems as if our author here recognizes “God” to be another example of humanity’s affinity for the “irresistible reasonableness of the nonsensical,” the natural response so many fall back on to simply the complexities of the world because they don’t have the mental capacity to handle it and prefer the simplicity in ignorance.
Exactly! To borrow the recent phrase from our beloved leader, I was using God sarcastically. Thank you.
