  1. As sophisticated as this article is, it is riddled with “God” acceptance. The world does not lose it’s richness without God. It becomes ever more amazing that it is not magic after all.
Modernity has been a fairly concurrent power play between Enlightenment and Monotheism. On an individual level it is confusing even for those who have the luxury of meditating upon it. Life, I would guess has been confusing since we became capable of thinking creatively. You had to travel town to town to hear all the strange ideas and beliefs.
Now they are brought together because of modernities communication capabilities. In strength there is numbers.
Even if it is Lemmings making a bigger splash.

    1. I could be wrong, but I don’t believe you interpreted the parts about God correctly. It seems as if our author here recognizes “God” to be another example of humanity’s affinity for the “irresistible reasonableness of the nonsensical,” the natural response so many fall back on to simply the complexities of the world because they don’t have the mental capacity to handle it and prefer the simplicity in ignorance.
