  1. Is Mr. Dalio still stocking up on gold??

  2. What a load of rubbish.

“Because the “trickle-down” process of having money at the top trickle down to workers and others by improving their earnings and creditworthiness is not working, the system of making capitalism work well for most people is broken.”

Trickle-down has never worked. It’s just a myth used to justify greater inequality. Capitalism has been working “well for most people?” The current version of capitalism has created pervasive inequality. It’s been working well for the top 1% but not for the rest of us.

Money to pay for pensions? Why not start with reversing the huge Trump tax giveaways to the richest and their corporations? Follow that up by tapping into the huge tax avoidance by the largest and wealthiest corporations like Apple, Amazon, GE and so on. Oh wait. Ray Dalio tells us the wealthy people will all move away if they are forced to pay taxes like the rest of us. Of course, the wealthiest corporations have already made paper moves to places like Ireland to avoid paying taxes. As to the individual wealthy, the research has consistently shown that they don’t move when taxes go up. It’s just another myth to justify inequality.

As to healthcare costs, I live in France which has the top rated healthcare system in the world. We pay one half of what the United States pays for healthcare. By contrast with France the US is generally rated around the 16th best healthcare system in the world. The health insurance industry is projected to earn more than big tech this year. Time for reform.
