Who’s The “Nut Job” Now? Russia Probe Targets White House Official “Close To Trump”

Well, that didn’t take long.

It’s never really been in doubt to anyone who isn’t either an emissary from a former Eastern bloc country or a complete simpleton that the investigation into the Trump administration’s ties to Russia will ultimately reach all the way to the top.

And on Friday we got the first indication that a White House official is now a “significant person of interest.”

“The law enforcement investigation into possible coordination between Russia and the Trump campaign has identified a current White House official as a significant person of interest, showing that the probe is reaching into the highest levels of government, according to people familiar with the matter,” WaPo reported on Friday afternoon, adding that “the senior White House adviser under scrutiny by investigators is someone close to the president.”

Spicer also stepped in to put out another, smaller fire on Friday afternoon. The NY Times is out reporting that Trump bragged about firing James Comey to Sergey Lavrov and Sergey Kislyak in the Oval Office last week, allegedly calling the former FBI Director “a crazy nut job.” 

“I faced great pressure because of Russia. That’s taken off,” Trump reportedly added.

Actually no, “that’s” not “taken off.”

And do you know what’s so funny? Only Donald Trump would be stupid enough not to realize that firing Comey was only going to make things worse.
