“What’s Beef?” Bannon, Kushner “Bury The Hatchet” In Mar-a-Lago

What’s beef? Beef is when your mom’s ain’t safe up in the streets.

As we detailed early on Saturday, the White House has been at pains to play down rumors of in-fighting within the Trump administration.

Specifically, rumors have been swirling this week about a rift between Steve Bannon, everyone’s (least) favorite “economic nationalist,” and Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law.

According to multiple reports, Kushner had a role in pushing Bannon off the National Security Council and sources close to the administration have suggested that the former Breitbart-ite has a habit of calling Kushner all manner of nasty names.

As we – and any number of others – have noted, Bannon’s ouster would deal a monumental blow to the populist push both in the US and across the pond in Europe where the likes of Marine Le Pen, Frauke Petry, and Nigel Farage have benefited from the rising tide of nationalist sentiment Bannon represents and perpetuates.

Well according to Reuters, Bannon and Kushner have now agreed to bury the hatchet. Here’s more:

Top White House aides Steve Bannon and Jared Kushner met and agreed to “bury the hatchet” over their differences, a senior administration official said on Saturday, in a bid to stop infighting that has distracted from President Donald Trump’s message.

Bannon, Trump’s chief strategist, and Kushner, an influential adviser and Trump’s son-in-law, met on Friday at the request of White House chief of staff Reince Priebus who told them that if they have any policy differences, they should air them internally, the official said.

The development at the president’s Mar-a-Lago retreat in Palm Beach, Florida, came at the end of what has been a relatively smooth week for Trump.

Priebus’ message to Bannon and Kushner was to “stop with the palace intrigue” and focus on the president’s agenda, the official told Reuters.

Both aides left having agreed that it was time to “bury the hatchet and move forward,” said the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity.

Four former advisers to the president said Trump is accustomed to chaos in his decades-long career as a real estate developer but that even he has grown weary of the infighting.

“He’s got a long fuse for that kind of thing,” said one former adviser. “I imagine he has gotten tired of this.”

So apparently that’s that – for now.

But we would be willing to bet that this will be an ongoing issue for this administration.

After all, you can’t just call someone a “globalist cuck” one day and expect things to be all better the next. Especially when the “cuck” you’re talking about is Ivanka Trump’s husband.

  1. Trump’s only agenda is to make himself look good and enrich himself. Bannon and Kushner will never coexist. Priebus said “IF they have any policy differences”. LMFAO.

  3. A “kiss and makeup” meeting between two polar opposites on the political spectrum, arranged by a guy with one foot out the door himself. What could go wrong?
