On Sunday I chronicled Donald Trump’s growing incredulity regarding the fact that America’s free press is …well… free, and there’s not a whole lot he can do about it.
But the concept of a free press isn’t the only thing Trump is having a hard time wrapping his head around. He also thinks it’s “hard to believe” (and yes, that’s an actual quote) that the judicial branch can void an Executive Order. He cannot fathom the notion of separation of powers.
When the President called the federal judge who blocked his travel ban a “so-called judge”, most observers (including lawmakers) seemed to assume it couldn’t possibly get any worse.
But it did.
On Sunday, Trump took to Twitter to instruct America to “blame the judge and the courts” if there’s a terrorist attack on US soil.
Well on Monday morning, Trump woke up bright and early and did what you’d expect a good President to do. He got on Twitter.
Of course he needed to address the most important issues first:
What an amazing comeback and win by the Patriots. Tom Brady, Bob Kraft and Coach B are total winners. Wow!

Having gotten the critical stuff out of the way, he proceeded (and yes this is real) to call any and all negative polls “fake news.”
Any negative polls are fake news, just like the CNN, ABC, NBC polls in the election. Sorry, people want border security and extreme vetting.

Just think about that for a minute. “Any negative polls are fake news.” So anything that isn’t positive about Trump is automatically “fake”.
Finally, in case this was in any way unclear, Trump reminded America that there is no separation of powers as far as he’s concerned:

Welcome to week three of the rest of your life America.
No way does this guy make it 6 months at this rate. I guess the next question is: Is it time for US to have no one as in nobody president for a while??? Talk about the worse of two evils, this is a tough call Trump/Bannon or Penance/Ryan. At this point a “do over” amendment added the constitution might be in order. “Oh the Horror” as the Trump faithful gnash their teeth at the “un-american” Americans such as myself who refuse to accept a “charlatan” as our president. Is it really only week three???OMG!!
